Scope of this policy

This policy explains how Examp, LLC ("Examp," "we," or "us") handles information through the Certified Electrician Pro mobile application and the certifiedelectrician.app website (together, the "Services"). Certified Electrician Pro is an independent educational tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by NFPA, OSHA, a state electrical licensing board, testing provider, or government entity.

Summary

• The mobile app does not require an account.
• Study progress, answers, settings, and reminder preferences remain on the device and are not sent to Examp.
• The app does not contain advertising or third-party analytics.
• We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• We receive personal information only when someone chooses to contact us or when standard website infrastructure processes a request.

Mobile app information

Certified Electrician Pro stores selected state, study-plan choices, practice performance, recent answers, completed material, settings, and related study data locally on the device. Examp does not receive this information. Device backups and any restoration of app data are controlled by the user and the operating-system provider.

If a user enables a daily reminder, the app requests notification permission and schedules the reminder locally on the device. Examp does not receive the reminder time, notification status, or notification interactions. Users can disable reminders in the app or change notification permission in device settings.

Website and support information

The website does not require an account and does not include a contact form or advertising tracker. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregated site usage such as page views and approximate geography. Google may process IP address, device or browser details, and similar technical data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Like most internet services, our hosting provider also processes basic network and security information needed to deliver and protect the site. This may include IP address, request time, requested path, browser or device details, response status, and diagnostic or security events.

If a user emails us, we receive the email address, message, attachments, and any other information the user chooses to provide. We use that information to answer the request, address a technical or content problem, and maintain an appropriate support record.

App store purchases

Apple and Google process app purchases under their own terms and privacy policies. Examp does not receive a user's full payment-card details. The store may provide Examp with transaction status, country or region, product information, aggregate sales reports, and other records needed to distribute the app, prevent fraud, provide support, and meet accounting or legal obligations.

How we use information

• Deliver, operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Services.
• Respond to support, privacy, and content questions.
• Distribute the app, verify store transactions, and maintain business records.
• Prevent abuse and investigate technical or security incidents.
• Comply with law and protect users, Examp, and others.

Who receives information

• App stores. Apple and Google process purchases and app distribution under their own policies.
• Infrastructure providers. Our hosting and email providers process limited information on our behalf to deliver the website and support communications.
• Examp personnel and contractors. Authorized people may access support messages and operational records only as needed for support, security, accounting, legal compliance, and service operation.
• Legal or safety recipients. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety, and security.
• Business transaction recipients. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and this policy.

We do not sell or rent personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention

• Mobile app study data remains on the device until the user clears it or uninstalls the app, subject to device backups.
• Support emails are ordinarily retained for up to 24 months after the last communication, unless needed longer for an unresolved request, accounting, fraud prevention, a dispute, or a legal obligation.
• Accessible website and security logs are ordinarily retained for no more than 30 days, except when an event must be preserved for an active security investigation or legal obligation. Provider backup and security records may remain for the provider's limited backup or compliance cycle.
• App store and accounting records are retained as required for financial reporting, fraud prevention, support, and legal compliance.

User choices and controls

• Users may clear locally stored app data or uninstall the app, subject to device backups.
• Users may disable daily reminders in the app or revoke notification permission in device settings.
• Purchase history, payment methods, and store account information can be managed through the applicable Apple or Google account.
• Users may ask to access, correct, or delete a support record by emailing dylan@examp.com. We may need to verify the request and may retain information when required by law.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network transport and restricted access. No system can guarantee absolute security. Examp and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate, which may have different data-protection laws.

Children

Certified Electrician Pro is educational and does not require an account, but the Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child submitted personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date at the top. Material changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.
